Hello!

I seem to have a consistent issue whereby my laptop will exist plugged in, but not charging. I will exist using information technology and it is charging just fine. So it will randomly stop. In order to starting time it again, I just unplug it and plug it back in, and it begins to accuse again. Slightly worried I won't detect the battery icon as existence low and will stop up in a pinch, s hoping there are some suggestions that you guys may have for me.

I have noticed information technology happens more afterwards locking my computer and coming back than when I am simply using information technology throughout, although it does still occur if I don't lock information technology.

Side note: This just started after I was having an effect where my keyboard and trackpad stopped working, then I reset my PC completely. Prior to the reset everything worked fine.

Hullo, information technology probably has to exercise with your sleep or hibernation settings. It is skillful to let the little creatures turn off sometimes. Check under Power Management and adjust.

Follow this guide : https://forums.tomsguide.com/faq/how-to-set-charging-problems-in-lenovo-yoga-laptops.188342/

Do follow up on the BIOS and check for new updated software.

lol, only 200bucks for a new battery then wishing you lot luck on that one (annotation : was looking at/for specs and non advocating the site) :

200bucks for a new battery so wishing you luck on that one

I try other methods rather than Lenovo genuine parts..

I got 1 for my Toshiba for $30 + $5 postage and it is still going later 4 years (Windows vii laptop)..

Personally I would replace both the charger and bombardment to be 100% sure ..

Only my opinion..

I practise shut off my laptop nightly, the locking is just when I pace away for a bit.

Battery is new (<1year onetime) from a dealer that supplies to bestbuy, so hopefully legitimate.
Charger is new every bit of a calendar month ago. Was working fine prior to the reset as well.

At that place was a BIOS update, so I have installed and will update if information technology seems to have solved the issue.

Following through the Lenovo link mentioned.

BIOS update did non fix. Going to uninstall bombardment drivers side by side and update later if it fixed the event.

Driver uninstall failed to fix it. Trying the restore health option.

Restore health option: Did non work (I don't think).

I did the restore wellness thing, only noticed the bombardment nonetheless not charging.

I installed updates after doing this pick though, and something on my laptop broke. So I did a system restore. The restore bespeak was some time during which I was still experiencing this effect, so I did not look any change with this consequence. But, for whatever reason, it seemed to work.

So, what worked? Sort of nothing, sort of a system restore. Who'south to say?

Try unplugging everything, pulling the bombardment out , hold downwardly the power button for 30 seconds , reinstall the bombardment and run into if it helps....

This is chosen a Generic Reset.. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the suggestion, but the issue has already been solved. I don't know how to mark a thread as solved unfortunately.

When was the last fourth dimension y'all calibrated the battery?

I recommend creating a specific ability plan for this rather than editing a current plan.
